  • 1 1/2 oz. (9.0 cl) Scotch
  • 1/2 oz. (1.5 cl) Pernod
  • 3 oz. (9.0 cl) Pineapple Juice

Mix in: Old Fashioned Glass

In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Shake well. Strain into an old-fashioned glass almost filled with ice cubes.

L'APERITIF

  • 1 oz. (3.0 cl) Gin
  • BOLS Grenadine

Mix in: Cocktail Glass

Add three dashes of BOLS Grenadine.

  • 1 1/2 oz. (4.5 cl) Jose Cuervo® Tequila

SHAKE ALL INGREDIENTS EXEPT CRANBERRY JUICE WITH ICE. POUR INTO GLASS AND FLOAT CRANBERRY JUICE.

LASSI - A SOUTH INDIAN DRINK

  • 1/2 (1.5 cl) Plain Yogurt
  • 1 1/4 (3.8 cl) Water
  • 1/2 tsp. (2 ml) ground roasted cumin seed
  • 1/4 tsp. (1 ml) Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. (1 ml) Mint Sprig

Mix in: Pitcher

Blend in a blender for 3 seconds. Lassi is one of the easiest things to make, and there are many ways of making it. Basically, it is buttermilk (yoghurt whisked with water), and you can choose almost any consistency that you like, from the thinnest to the thickest. Serve cold.

LAVA LAMP

  • 4 (12.0 cl) Jello® (Cherry)
  • 8 oz. (24.0 cl) Vodka
  • 4 oz. (12.0 cl) Lemon Lime soda

Mix in: Cocktail Glass

Put one Jell-O shot in each of four Martini glasses. Add 2 oz. of vodka to each drink and finish each drink off with a touch of 7-up. Serve with a straw.

LAWN MOWER

  • 1.5 oz. (4.5 cl) Midori®
  • 1 oz. (3.0 cl) Southern Comfort®
  • 2 tsp. (6.0 cl) Dry Vermouth
  • 4 oz. (12.0 cl) Lemon Lime soda

Mix in: Highball Glass

Pour all ingredients except Soda into shaker. Fill a Highball glass almost full of ice cubes, and dump ice into shaker. Shake well and pour drink into Highball glass. Add Soda, stir well, garnish with a Lime Wedge, and serve.

  • 2 oz (6.0 cl) Amaretto
  • 1 oz (3.0 cl) Peach Nectar
  • 2/3 (2.0 cl) Orange Juice

  • 2.5 oz. (7.5 cl) Cranberry Juice Cocktail

Mix in: Highball Glass

Fill any damn glass with ice and add tequila, cranberry juice, and ginger ale (club soda or 7-UP can be substituted). Stir and strain into a glass. Add ice.

LE MANS

  • 4 oz. (12.0 cl) Mineral Water, Sparkling
  • 1 oz. (3.0 cl) Vodka
  • 1 oz. (3.0 cl) BOLS Triple Sec Curacao
  • Ice

Mix in: Collins Glass

Stir with ice. Add orange slice and fill up with sparkling mineral water and stir. Serve with a straw and swizzle-stick.

LE MARSEILLAISE

  • 0.75 oz. (2.3 cl) BOLS Blue
  • 0.75 oz. (2.3 cl) Gin
  • 0.5 oz. (1.5 cl) Pastis
  • Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

Mix in: Cocktail Glass

Use just a dash of lime juice. Shake with ice. Pour over crushed ice, so you make a total of 4 oz.

LEAVE IT TO ME

  • 0.5 oz. (1.5 cl) Apricot Brandy
  • 1 oz. (3.0 cl) Gin
  • 3 dashes (3 ml) Grenadine
  • 3 dashes (3 ml) Lemon Juice

Add equal parts of Everclear and lemon juice to a shot glass. Place the shot into the freezer for 30 minutes to completely chill it. Drink it ice cold.

  • 1 dash (3.0 cl) Lemon Juice

Mix in: Collins Glass

In a large glass, put the lime juice and sugar, and stir well. Add cold seltzer water to fill. Put the lime peels in the glass. Drink. Repeat until limes or soda run out.

LIMEY

  • 1 oz. Light (8 ml) Rum
  • 1 oz. Lime (3.0 cl) Vodka
  • 1/2 oz. (1.5 cl) Triple Sec
  • 2 tsp. (8 ml) Lime Juice
  • Twist of peel of (twist of peel of) Lime

Mix in: Champagne Flute

Combine all ingredients (except lime peel) with 1/2 cup crushed ice in an electric blender. Blend at a low speed for a short length of time. Pour into a champagne flute, add the twist of lime peel, and serve.

  • 10 cl. (10.1 cl) Apple Juice
  • 8/8 (3.0 cl) Lime
  • 2 tsp. (8 ml) Brown Sugar
  • Crushed Ice

Mix in: Highball Glass

Squeeze the 8 parts of the lime and the brown sugar with a wooden muddler, fill up with Apple Juice and crushed Ice.

Fill half of a stirring glass with crushed ice. then add all the ingredients and shake well. Strain into shot glass and slam it!!!!

LIQUID DESERT

  • 1/2 oz. (1.5 cl) Absolut Vodka®

  • 1 oz. (3.0 cl) Water

LITTLE BLACK DEVIL

Two ounce shooter. Drink is to be layered. Pour crème de menthe first. Tip glass, and slowly pour rum down side of glass so it slips under the crème de menthe. Originally, and still is mainly, a regimental drink. Used when toasting friends and comrades who are not able, through a variety of reasons, to attend. Toasts are done by a group of four, preferably two couples. Arms holding glasses are intertwined when toasting and drinking.
